Literacy with Little Friends is Back!
Literacy with Little Friends is Back!
The Class of 2025 kicked off the year honoring our tradition of “Literacy with Little Friends”. Through this special program, the 8th graders are continuing their legacy of being great leaders and reading role-models. In partnership with our fantastic first grade, the 8th grade students will be sharing and discussing their favorite picture books every month. This September session was a blast and included a getting to know you interview portion along with a myriad of delightful picture book selections including Wordy Birdy by Tammi Saver, The Giant Jam Sandwich by Janet Borroway, and Inky the Octopus by Erin Guendelsberger. Everyone had a great time enjoying each other’s company and reading under the shade of our beautiful courtyard trees. Our 8th graders seem to be truly embracing the opportunity to lead their little friends. As one 8th grade student sincerely shared, “It helps our little friends grow through reading and friendship.”
